TOEFL for University

Score Higher than other international applicants

There is a lot of competition among International applicants to get into English-speaking colleges and universities. One way to stand out is to have the highest TOEFL score you can get. If the school is asking for a 95 on the iBT, then you should send in test results that are over 100. Unfortunately, group classes usually result in iBT scores of no more than 80-90. But thankfully, the private tutoring you receive from Strictly English's tutors will help you get the score you need.

TOEFL vs. SAT

Many International Applicants have good scores on the math section of the SAT/ACT, but their Verbal and Reading scores are low. Therefore, it's important to have a high TOEFL score to make up for your weaker SSAT/ISEE scores. This will prove that your English is good enough to understand and participate in English-speaking university classes. By the time you're finished with our tutoring program, you'll have the TOEFL score and the confidence you'll need for any university you choose.

Our writing strategies for the Independent Essay (the "30-Minute essay") work for the SAT essay too. Therefore, when you're done studying with us, you've already learned something to use on the SAT!

Study First, Study Fast!

Applying to English speaking universities is not easy. You have to get good grades, learn English, write your college essays, fill out all your applications, take the TOEFL, the SAT, and much more! The first thing you need to do is pass the TOEFL. Once you've got the TOEFL score you want, you will have strengthened your reading, your vocabulary, and your writing skills so that writing your college essays and taking the SAT will be much easier.
